Long been famous and revered as a staple of Ayurvedic medicine to treat a lot of different ailments for at least four millenniums, turmeric root, also called as Indian saffron, may be one of the most popular nutritional supplements in existence as well as one of the oldest well known holistic medicines in human history.

Various reliable studies show that the golden spice has a handful of great major benefits for your body and brain that go far beyond boosting the usual flavour of the irreplaceable ingredient in your curry.

Scientists now say that for inflammation relief without the side effects, it is better to have from 400 to 600 mg turmeric capsules (such as Golden Grind Turmeric Capsules With Black Pepper) up to 3 times a day instead of prescribed and over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication2.

Such lovely tips on how to use turmeric in not just cooking. I have heard turmeric powder can tread mild acne by taking it and also making it into a mask. Any ideas?

      Hi Lola,

I have heard the same as well from a few peoples and I think somehow it does treat acne as intake soluble and a mask. I have tried it personally but let me just first warn you about the taste of it. Not very decent!
      1. For intake, I would just take a teaspoon of the turmeric powder and add in a little bit of lukewarm water then drink it before breakfast. Not only it helps with acne but also helps with the digestive system.
      2. Ask a mask it would be the same but you need to add a less amount of water then make it into a paste. Rinse after 15 mins and it is all good. This mask is my holy-grail go to mask since it helps in fading acne scars and dark spots. However just be careful with the yellow stain.
