Do Signature Bamboo sheets shrink?
Our bamboo bedding fabric is pre-washed and pre-shrunk. We have also included a small
allowance for the small amount of shrinkage which is normal after the first few washes. If you follow the instructions on the bedding labels and below, you should get minimal shrinkage.
Caring for your Signature Bamboo bedding:
- Cold machine or hand wash only at less than 30 degrees C.
- Wash separately at least once prior to first use.
- Do not use bleach or softeners. Do not soak.
- Line dry in the shade. Cool iron if required.
What thread count is your Signature Bamboo bedding?
Our 100% bamboo fabric has a thread count of 300. Thread count is, however, not the most
important factor when deciding on sheets. The quality of the fibre and the weave of the
fabric are the most important factors.
BAMBOO VS. COTTON
Cotton covers 2.5% of the world's cultivated land yet uses 16% of the world's insecticides, more than any other single major crop*. Organic bamboo production uses no insecticides as bamboo is naturally resistant to pests.
Water scarcity is partially caused by production of cotton: 1 kg of cotton requires 10.9 m3 water to produce – that is almost 11000 litres to produce 1kg of cotton! Cotton accounts for around 2.4% of world water use. Bamboo growing typically uses no irrigation at all.

harmful substances in the manufacture of textiles and makes sure none is left in the fabric at the end of the manufacturing process.
